We can not express enough how wonderful our return to Taveuni Palms has been. From the moment we saw Babu at the airport to our last moments, you have all welcomed us like family (actually better) and treated us like royalty. From Roberts infectious laugh, to Teila's 'sehganalenga!, to Sia's warm greetings each evening and heartfelt words of friendship, this has been an experience we will never forget. It was great to get to know Maria, Silvia & Vina and snorkeling with John was so much fun. Thank you to the world class chefs for putting a few extra pounds on us and making sure that we'll miss their daily delicacies.

To Gareth & Sarah, you are sooo lucky to be here working With Kelly, Tony & the staff! We enjoyed getting to know you over dinner and much wine and hope you are here when we return.

And finally, to Kelly & Tony, you are the best. Once again you have made Taveuni Palms the best vacation of our lives. We could not dream of a better way to have spent our 30th anniversary. "We have just returned from an amazing honeymoon at Taveuni Palms. The resort is 5 star all the way. Every meal was delicious, the villa is incredible and the staff are all just amazing. We stayed in the lower villa and enjoyed our own private beach, HUGE pool, and the most gorgeous villa. The villas are totally private, you cannot see anyone else and they are so romantic. The resort is like heaven on earth. We did a boat trip with Gareth the onsite resort manager and John the snorkel guide and had probably the best day of my life. We saw turtles, dolphins and my husband caught a large Wahoo on the way home. I can only repeat what has been said in all of the other reviews below. The food was amazing, every meal was delicious and it was an experience every meal time. Johnny and I still cannot get over the coconut crab - what a beautiful thing!! The excursions were so informative and we felt that it has given us a great glimpse into the Fijian culture and this beautiful Island. What a wonderful week. We came expecting a lot after the recommendations given in the media and on-line and it has exceeded all our wishes. A perfect setting. A first class villa & 5 star food. It could not be better. Probably the biggest plus, are the Fijian people in the resort. Wonderful, happy, obliging people who seem to really enjoy their job. This is in no small way due to you Kelly & Tony. The way you treat your people with such compassion & caring shows through. As you get on in life, the glitz and glamour that once may have been important, now to have a holiday in a simple understated yet luxurious environment is special. The formula is spot on. The air of calm you promote pervades the whole place.

"I can only echo what previous reviewers have said about Taveuni Palms – quite simply, it is breathtaking. We stayed in the lower villa for a week in June 2011. We had very high expectations, but we were really blown away when we arrived.

The lower villa has been decorated with impeccable taste. The whole villa was filled with the most amazing flowers for our entire stay – I have never seen anything like it. I can’t really say much more about the fabulousness of the villa. The service is impeccable. Soft drinks (including smoothies etc) are included in the price, and alcohol is very reasonably priced, with a good selection of Australian and NZ wines and a couple of champagnes. Our villa was stocked with a bottle of everything on the wine list and a few different beers at all times, which is very nice as you don’t need to call for service every time you want a drink. The reasonable price of the alcohol is worth emphasizing – anyone who has ever had the displeasure of staying or dining in Denarau will be amazed at the difference. My husband, 15mo old son and I stayed at Taveuni Palms, and it was completely amazing. We were met and greeted by name at the airport and within 3 minutes we were at the resort, where our staff of 17 was lined up singing a welcome song. A refreshing fruit cocktail + flower lei + nanny swooping in to snatch up our son completed the best resort greeting ever! Oh wait, we also immediately changed into sarongs and went to our private massage cottage overlooking the ocean where our 2 personal masseuses gave us full body massages while we listened to the waves crashing on the shore.

Our favorite things: our personal manager who checked on us, helped us pick out excursions and made sure we were pampered. Our nanny who slathered our son in love and spoiled him rotten (in a good way). The amazing cuisine - every meal was a five-star event, our personal cooking lesson was really really fun, and now we have the entire file of recipes from the resort and have made many things at home! Our beautiful, private cottage with the infinity pool, gorgeous ocean views, and bula deck where we had most of our meals. The landscaping, layout, and cottage are just perfect. We really enjoyed the outdoor showers and outdoor 2-person bathtub. Snorkeling trip in the resort's boat with the resort's super nice and informative snorkeling guide.

We can go on and on about how fantastically awesome this resort is, but the bottom line is, if you absolutely want to be pampered beyond belief, this is the resort for you. The staff is exceptionally attentive, and they do everything in their power to make every minute of every day the best it can be. Coming to this resort is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. That being said, I wish we would win the lottery so that we could come here every year!

We have traveled all over the world and have stayed in many five-star resorts, but this one blows them all away. It cannot be beat. Thank you so much for making our vacation so very very special and unforgettable.

Relaxing and wonderful stay at Taveuni Palms

"We have just returned from the best experience we have ever had on a tropical island anywhere in the world. We enjoy tropical vacations each year and have been to Tahiti, Maldives, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia and Samoa but this experience was the best of the best. We stayed for 3 nights at the Grand Villa at Taveuni Palms on our way home from two weeks in New Zealand. Firstly, the villa is breathtakingly beautiful. The master bedroom has a sweeping view over the ocean, huge beds and a spectacular bathroom with twin showers and a bath complete with a palm tree in the bathroom!! The villa had a large lounge for relaxing that looked out over the ocean and we had a selection of outdoor couches, dining decks and hammocks to choose from for relaxing outdoors or by our private pool. My favorite spot was by the pool in the pool bure. I have never seen a view like that before in my life. An infinity pool, looking over the ocean to the most magnificent colored turquoise waters. It was like something you dream about. The food was exceptional and always beautifully presented. As we were there to relax we did not take part in any of the island excursions but will make sure we do next time we return. Tony (the manager) took my husband for a fishing trip one afternoon and they came back with a Wahoo which was just delicious. I enjoyed having a spa treatment each afternoon and the breeze from the ocean was so relaxing. Sera was an excellent therapist I cannot recommend Taveuni Palms highly enough. For a little adventure, don't miss the Bouma Falls Hike at Taveuni Palms

These three incredible waterfalls are located in a pristine Heritage park just a half hour drive from Taveuni Palms. This fabulous walk will lead you through rainforests, across rivers and up to the gorgeous waterfalls. You will enjoy the sights and sounds of rare tropical birds, view many varieties of island plants and hear waterfalls cascading through the lush rainforest. The walk to the first fall is a short 10 minute flat walk and requires little physical effort. The second fall requires you to step it up a notch and takes a little more energy and effort but is well worthwhile as the views are fabulous! You can picnic here, swim in the waterfall or for the adventurous hike to the third waterfall. The upper fall takes about another 30-40 minutes but it is agreed by everyone that it is well worth the climb.

Make the most of this wonderful half day trip by having your personal Chef prepare a delicious picnic lunch for you to enjoy whilst relaxing under the cascading waterfall. If you wish, a staff member will accompany you to the falls acting as your guide. While you swim in the first fall or hike to the second your lunch will be prepared for you and beautifully served on as picnic blanket under the shade.

My husband and I decided we needed a romantic break away. Our choice of where to go was Fiji and we decided to try Taveuni Palms. This was the most amazing holiday we have had for a very long time. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely faces of the staff at Taveuni and we were made to feel extra special by their welcoming smiles. We knew that the resort was five star but it exceeded all of our hopes. The setting for our villa was absolutely beautiful with an amazing big deck where we could relax and unsurpassed views of the private beach right at our doorstep.

We had five days of delicious food that was presented so beautifully at every meal. Our Villa was so divine with gorgeous furnishings and luxurious showers where we spoilt ourselves daily with the amazing range of Pure Fiji treats. We also loved the tiny little touches that were such a part of our stay like the lovely little messages that got left on our pillows every night. One thing we realized about Taveuni Palms was their amazing ability to provide five star service and be there for your every need yet we felt that we had total privacy. This privacy was just perfect so that we could enjoy romantic candlelit meals on the tranquil decks with the spectacular views. We also took advantage of our private pool and lazed our days away in our tropical heaven.
